Infrastructure Initiatives temporarily supplies/installs insertion or ultrasonic flowmeters.  It also maintains or collects data from its clients' meters.  Projects completed during the past three years include:

Steve's previous project experience includes a variety of flow-monitoring exercises completed to:

​

  • assess leakage in water distribution systems,

  • quantify water-loss reductions following leak repairs,

  • quantify savings after programming controllers allowing for advanced pressure management,

  • illustrate seasonal demand (e.g., irrigation) as well as changes in customer behaviour due to outreach programs or watering bans,

  • perform in-situ meter testing/meter validation,

  • quantify bulk water-use,

  • record flow profiles used in the calibration of hydraulic models
