Pressure Monitoring
Infrastructure Initiatives has temporarily supplied and installed different equipment to monitor pressures, and reviewed data recorded by equipment installed by others during the following exercises:
-
Hydrant-flow and C-factor testing in Toronto, ON
-
R.V. Anderson & Associates
-
-
Surge monitoring in Toronto, ON
-
R.J. Burnside & Associates
-
-
Transient pressure monitoring in Surrey, BC
-
IKEN Services Ltd.
-

Steve's previous project experience includes monitoring pressures in order to:
-
establish both the average zone pressure the minimum pressure at the critical point within the boundaries of district-metered areas,
-
recording inlet and outlet pressures near to pressure reducing valves, or other boundary conditions while performing hydrant-flow tests,
-
identify if pressure transients may have been caused by the shut-down of pumps at water treatment plants
-
illustrate variations in the pressure around the inlet as well as the throat of Venturi flowmeters
